I still cant wrap my head around the fact that I have a 10 month old. Time has gone even faster than everyone told me that it would. We had the most amazing weekend with family to celebrate my 30th Birthday. The day started with Easton saying "ma ma" all morning long. That in itself was the best birthday gift ever. He's said it before but not clear enough for me to know thats what he was truly saying. He is also saying "hi", "doggie" and "kitty" occassionally. Easton and I hung out all morning while dad worked. We got ourselves packed for our overnight trip to Iowa for Papa French's BBQ contest and a sleep over and Uncle Dick and Aunt Cindys house.
Easton really loves his bathtimes now and is such a good nap'er. We are so lucky at what a great lil boy we have. He adapts to any situation and is so laid back. We try not to alter from his "regular" schedule too much but if we do he totally rolls with the punches and doesnt get fussy or throw fits at all. Just looking at his little face makes me melt instantly. Words cant explain the amount of love we have for him! Turning 30 was no big deal. If anything I was excited to see my 20's end. They were fun but my life right now is so much better than I could have ever dreamed it would turn out to be. What is harder for me to grasp is the fact that I am now starting to plan and brainstorm for a Bday party for a 1year old! Its bizarre to me that Easton is less and less of a baby everyday and more and more of a little boy. Each day he does something new and its so fun to watch him grow and change, but at the same time its a little heart breaking realizing how fast its all gone! I do really try to savor each moment I get with him and not let the non-important stresses of life get in the way! He is waving now and laughing ALL THE TIME. Brian and I will just sit and watch him giggle at Emma, Yukon, Mickey Mouse, or just laugh at us. He is pure joy.

Once we got to Corning IA Friday night the festivities began. The entire town puts on this contest. They provide the meat that is cooked by each of the 30+ teams Friday night through Saturday morning. Once the teams turn in their meats then it is sliced and anyone can purchase a sandwhich or ribs etc. for lunch that day. Friday night they also had a wing contest, band, and lots of food and drinks. We hung out at my dads team's tent and ate, drank, and celebrated my 30th birthday. My Aunt Cindy came down with a cookie cake and some chocolate covered fruit from edible creations. She is the sweetest!!!!

The next morning we had breakfast and played at Uncle Dick and Aunt Cindy's. Easton and daddy got a little nap in before heading back to the BBQ contest :)
Easton had his BIG STACKS team t-shirt on and was ready to go cheer on Papa during the results Saturday morning. They placed in all catagories: 3rd place in chicken, pork, and briskett. 5th place in ribs. They also were the Reserve Grand Champions for the 2nd year in a row!!!! WAY TO GO GRANDPA!
Easton cant wait to get more teeth in so he can enjoy more than just smashed baked beans and tiny pieces of pulled pork meat.
