Staycation 2012

STAYCATION 2012

This past week Brian and I both took off to spend time as a family and do some fun things we have been wanting to do all summer. We took Easton to the zoo where he LOVED the aquarium and the monkeys! He could stare at the fish all day! He loved squeeling and banging on the glass! (Not sure the fish appreciated that but we thought it was cute!). After the Zoo we hit up Red Mango and then went over to visit his new cousin Baylor. This time he was awake, but she was a little sleeping beauty the whole time. Easton was more interested in the remote on the table then Baylor LOL but eventually he noticed her and thought she was very tiny and very cute :) We are sure they will be the best of friends one day soon!

OMG mom and dad these are the coolest!

That fish is bigger than me!!!!

Hey guys! This is my buddy Baylor!
We also spent one day at the pool and then headed over to Schramm Park. It was pretty hot out so we stayed in the shade and fed the geese bread and then went to the indoor aquarium. Again, Easton was in love with pounding on the glass and laughing and squeeling at the fish. On the way home we got Easton saying "uh oh" and now that is all he has been saying. He repeats it over and over again. It is like he is trying to perfect it to make it sound just us when we say it. We are really going to have to watch our language more...I have a feeling this little boy is going to be a copy cat!!!

Mom that goose is getting awfully close to us!!!
This Saturday I had a little gathering at Sempek's bowling alley to celebrate entering the 30's with friends and family. My grandparents made the drive from Aurora to join us which made it very special. Almost everyone there had their kids! It was so fun to see them running around and checking eachother out! I see many sleepovers in our future...good thing Brian is working on finishing our basement now :)
