6 months!! Happy half Bday to ME!!!!

Who turns 6 months? ME?

That is the silliest thing Ive ever heard. I cant be that old already!

Easton had his 6 month check up and shots :( on Friday! He got a clean bill of health. The pediatrician stated that he has a "heart healthy build....tall and skinny". His stats were: Height 26.75'' (he is in the 64%), Weight 14lb15oz (10%...still a peanut), and head size........drumroll please..........46 cm (96%) LOL Dr. Gary said that head size is a family trait...Thanks Kalaseks!!! Although Dr Gary said she couldnt prove that head size equals intelligence we feel that this means he must already be a genius :)

6 months development: Your baby's stronger neck and arm muscles allow him to practice rolling over toward one side, a milestone that will probably awe and amuse you. At this age your baby not only tolerates attention from others, he'll often initiate it. Though you may soon notice the beginnings of stranger anxiety, your baby will probably still be fairly indiscriminate: Chances are anyone who approaches him with welcoming eyes or a grin delights him and becomes an instant friend.Your baby is also learning that his behaviors, both the ones you like and the ones you don't, engage you, so starting now (and for years to come) he'll do just about anything to get your attention. One thing will become clear: Your baby is beginning to expand his attention-getting repertoire to include more than crying. You may notice him wriggling, making noises, blowing "raspberries," and so on. Over the next three months, he'll develop a uniquely personal way of letting you know what he thinks, wants, and needs.

Easton is definitely more clingy with mom and dad, but he still likes attention from anyone who will give it to him...he just might not want them to hold him. Mommy taught him how to blow spit bubbles and stick out his tongue so now that is his favorite thing to do. Along with talking to us from his car seat on car rides we now get to hear him making spitting noises too! Its all music to our hears though. He is holding his own bottle now during feedings like such a big boy! Kind of brought a tear to my eye the first time...moments of independence are hard on mom! We got the green light from our pediatrician to start introducing solids to Easton. We have the Baby Brezza and made a big batch of sweet potato baby food to begin with. She suggested to use the same veggie for 3 or so days before introducing something new so we can see if he gets allergic reactions from anything. Neither of us are allergic to foods or have allergies so we are hoping Easton is just as lucky. Fingers crossed baby food goes over better than the rice cereal did :)
IM SO BIG THESE DAYS!!!

To celebrate the big 6 months we took him to the zoo today. It was a mad house but we still had a great time!

Getting geared up for our zoo outing!
