Hey everyone Im 5 months now! Such a big boy! (Sporting my Jayhawk spirit for my Uncle Tom and Aunt Halley!!!!)
How your baby's growing:
Your baby can't express his emotions in the same complex way you can. Although he can clearly let you know when he's happy or unhappy, his ability to
demonstrate his love and
sense of humor is just developing.
As your baby gets older, he may start to cry when you leave the room and get excited when you come back in. He may also raise his arms when he wants to be picked up and give you pats on the back.
And you'll probably see him getting your jokes — he'll laugh at funny expressions and try to make you laugh too. Keep the laughter flowing with your silly faces!
Im loving this new stage that Easton is in! He smiles all the time when he sees me or Brian. Anytime I go to pick him up he raises his arms ready for me to grab him. Once he gets those chubby lil arms around my neck to snuggle I am in pure heaven! I cant even explain how much love I feel for this lil man of ours! He is rolling over all the time now (again when the mood strikes him LOL) and he is super ticklish and giggles out of control when we get his tickle spots!!! He is FINALLY over his cold so his appetite is back in full force. We may try rice cereal this weekend so fingers crossed for that! Daycare is still going great. They love him so much over there and he smiles every morning when he sees MaryPat. We feel so blessed to have found such a nurturing place for him to go while we are at work. All the kids there call me "Baby E's mom" and they call Brian "Dada".

he found just the right position to sleep in when his nose is stuffy. Funny its the same way Brian sleeps too...

| Finally got my toes in my mouth! Mission accomplished! |
This past weekend was my grandparents 60th wedding anniversary. My mom, dad, Brian, Easton, and I all piled in the Yukon and drove to Aurora for the weekend. Its always fun to get back to Aurora and drive around the town I was born in and lived til I was 9yrs old. As my brother put it "I think this place used to be a lot bigger when we lived here" LOL Saturday we hung out at my grandparents house with my aunt, uncle, and cousins and their kids, and Tom and Halley made it into town too! We had the best time! We ate pizza, watched the very intense KU game (VICTORY), and drove around town (and even did some shopping at the town square stores). We played a boy versus girls game of Buzz word (boys won but Im pretty sure they cheated :) It was so much fun to all be together laughing and celebrating my amazing grandparents. We had them tell us the story of how they met, fell in love, got married, and then some great stories about my mom and Uncle Bob as babies and kids. My grandma said anytime my mom or uncle were sick she would call the pediatrition no matter the hour and he would just come straight over to their house and check on them. Perks of a small town and a different world than the one we live in now days.

| The couple of the weekend! 60 years of marriage!!!! |
Sunday we went to church with them and then headed to York for the Chances R Brunch. This is all Brian talked about for weeks! It is his heaven. Miles of food from breakfast, salads, pastas, fried chicken, desserts....you name it they have it! We had champagne at our table and gave toasts to my grandparents. They stood up and said a few words as well. To summarize they stated that in their 80+ years of life and 60 years of marriage they learned that money doesnt mean much unless you have family to share it with. Family and the memories you make as a family is all that matters...the love and laughter we share is what creates bliss! It was so fun to spend an entire weekend with them talking about each of our favorite memories. My Uncle bob created an amazing slide show and we all pitched in scrapbook pages to create a memory album for them. They were very touched! Here is the link to the video if anyone would want to watch it. (the music part doesnt work but you can still watch the video.

We had a great time with family and Easton did so great! He never cried once! He got a lot of attention from grandparents, great grandparents, cousins, and second cousins. We are so blessed to have such an amazing family! Anytime we can all get together for a couple days is so special! Happy Anniversary Grandma and Grandpa!
