Hope everyone had a nice Mothers Day last weekend! We sure did. Not only do I feel so incredibly blessed to be included in the catagor of "mother" but Im so lucky and blessed to have such an incredible woman to call mom myself. To put it simply she is the best! On top of that I have the best mother in law any girl could ask for and a grandmoter who has been such a huge part in my growth and development. I am surrounded by incredible women..couldnt ask for better examples as I travel down this road of motherhood.
We had a great Mothers Day weekend. Saturday night Brian suprised me with a dinner at Espana (Tapas and homemade sangria....delish!) and then we went to a bar and just talked. Sounds simple but when you have the worlds most active 19month old moments to just sit down and talk are few and far between :) Easton spent the evening playin at Gma and Gpa Kalasek's and even got to spend time with his cousin Baylor....those two will have so much fun this summer together. Not only that but Pat and Angie bought a house in the neighborhood across from us. Easton and Baylor will go to the same school which is so cool! On Mother's Day we went for a walk around Zarinsky and then stopped at my parents house. We played in the backyard and had a really nice morning. The rest of the day was just spent relaxing and hanging with my two boys! Couldnt ask for anything better! Each grandma got a homemade flowering pot with Easton's handprints around it. Now it sounded like a much simpler activity for us to do than it turned out to be. Toddlers and paint can get messy....and trying to get a very strong willed boy to gently place his hand on two pots so the handprint looks good and then wash his hand only to do it again in 3 more colors took awhle...By the end we were both covered in yellow, green, blue, and red. Good thing we picked a Friday so I could clean up before daddy got home from work LOL!
