Happy 2nd Birthday to Easton!!!

 Easton had an amazing birthday party yesterday! Our house was full of food, family, friends and lots of fun! Not sure he entirely understood what it was all about but he was definitely excited about his new loot! Gatherings like this just prove how blessed we are to have such incredible family close and involved! I cant believe that its been 2 years. It seriously seems like yesterday I was denying that contractions were what was causing the cramping I was feeling...and then 1hr 45min later I was holding the most precious gift! Brian and I look at him daily and are just in awe. Its amazing how much he has grown from 1yr to today. He speaks in sentences and finds such joy in the simple things in life. Children truly teach us to be better people and to put away selfish and self absorbed tendencies.

His new favorite things are trains, counting to 10 and sometime 12 (have no idea if it was Mickey, listening to us, or something they do at Mary Pat's but he clearly can count from 1 to 10 and every once in awhile he goes a bit further that that), he loves shoes and putting them on (and gets incredible frustrated if they don't go on right....most of the time its bc the are backwards or on the wrong foot), he loves to say "watch this mama/dada", "baby in mama belly" (more to come on that later), "sit woof woof" or "no no woof woof" (when yukon is trying to eat his food or barking at someone walking by the house), "dance", "come on ma ma" ..... i really could go on and on since my child talks non stop. All our aunts and uncles were amazed by how clear and well he speaks and the amount he speaks. I see he will be following in his Uncle Tom's footsteps and I will gets lots of "socializing is a problem" on his report cards! :)

His party was of course Mickey Mouse themed (or as E refers to him...Mishka). Bring on the terrible 2's! With Easton no matter how terrible I still feel lucky to say he's my boy!

As promised below you will see that we are expanding the Kalasek Klan. Coming March there will be a new edition. We are so very excited and Easton (hopefully) will be too. There is a new baby at daycare that he loves to help feed and get binkies for. Hopefully this will get him used to being around a baby. Saturday night we were all 3 laying together and we asked him if he wanted a brother or sister....His response "no mama a Cow" So I'm afraid he will be a bit disappointed come March if he doesn't change his answer on that :)
