While we were in Hawaii Easton was spoiled silly by both sets of grandparents. Neither of which wanted to hand him over after their time was up. My parents were so sad to give Easton up to Brian's parents...who then said they didnt want us to come home so they could keep him longer.....LOL He is pure joy and it was so nice that they were able to have a lot of uninterrupted quality time with him (without me or Brian in the way LOL).
Easton started his vacation from us with my parents. He stayed at their house the whole time. Its easy for them since they live a mile away from us and he has his own room there (full of toys and a wardrobe)....you can definitely tell he is the only grandchild on the French side right now. He spent lots of time playing with this toys and hanging out with grandma and Papa. He is obsessed with my dad and follows him around. He loves saying "papa". His new favorite thing is to pick up their shoes and bring it to them. He did that for Brian's parents as well. (I swear we did not train him to do this...he started doing it on his own :)
My mom had him all day Friday since I dont work Fridays and they had so much fun. That night they took him to Dante's to dinner with their friends. He of course showed off for them and said "hi" to everyone and anyone in the restaurant. He ate so great while we were gone and was introduced to lots of new foods!
Saturday my brother and Halley drove up from KC to spend the day with him. The second Halley walked in he wrapped his arms around her and nuzzled in! She melted instantly and Im told she said "I want one" Tom hadnt even made it inside the house yet...LOL! He may be second guessing their trip right about now. Easton entertained them all night with his ring around the rosie song and dance (he actually sings "ashes ashes all fall down") and watched KU basketball with them!
Sunday they had a big pancake breakfast and then my parent took him back to our house so Julie and Dennis could begin their time with him! Once Easton was gone, and Tom and Halley left my parents said the house was very quiet and boring! My dad teased Brian and I that we dont know what its like to struggle with parenthood bc Easton was so easy and good. He went right to bed at night and for naps when they laid him down, he ate everything, and was one happy boy!

Julie and Dennis had him Sunday through Thursday morning. They had an amazing time as well. Grandma Julie and him had lots of story time fun! He showed them how to play with all his toys and how he loves to brush his teethe. He had a play date with Baylor (wasnt too big on sharing his elephant toy with her) hung out with Aunt Angie and Uncle Pat, Aunt Karen, and Aunt Barb. My child loves to be center stage (weird I know :) and he definitely got plenty of attention this day! Grandpa and Grandma Kalasek cooked him all of Brians favorites from childhood and Easton loved them too: squash, corn beef, breaded cod, waffle fries, cooked carrots, chicken sausage, pork and beans. On their last night with him they went to Grisanti's. He ate spaghetti, meatballs, bread, and had lots of milk! He had such a good time with them...

We were not excited to come home to snow after being on the beach for 9 days but we were dying to see our little man. We rushed right over to MaryPat's to pick him up. The first hug melted my heart. I missed him so much! I swear he looked bigger! We spent all weekend together playing and snuggling. He is talking nonstop now and putting words together. He is into everything!!!!! Its so much fun! (and a lot of work too :) Looking forward to more family time this coming weekend with Easter. XOXOXOXO
